Shannon Brown and her three children

About Me

Hi, I’m Shannon Brown, a Registered Dietitian, Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, and a proud (and always-on-the-go!) single mom of three amazing boys.

I created this space — and my group Intuitive Eating sessions — because I believe everyone deserves to feel at home in their body and at peace with food. Whether you’re 25 or 65, tired of chasing diets, or simply ready for a healthier, more sustainable way to care for yourself, I’m here to help.

My Journey

Like many patients I’ve  worked with over the past 20 years, I’ve seen the toll diet culture can take on our lives — the guilt, the obsession, the constant pressure to "fix" ourselves. Weight loss and dieting is one of the strongest predictors of weight gain, no matter the initial weight. Weight loss programs have a long-term failure rate of 95% (after 2-5 years). As a dietitian, I knew there had to be a better way. When I discovered Intuitive Eating, everything changed. No more counting, restricting, or punishing workouts — just a compassionate, evidence-based path to nourishing our bodies and honoring our needs.

Now, I’m helping you break free from diet culture, reconnect with your inner wisdom, and build a truly healthy relationship with food — one rooted in trust, respect, and self-care.

What I Offer

You were not born hating or ashamed of your body. I lead Intuitively You group training sessions based on the Intuitive Eating book and workbook designed to help you find an anti-diet approach to normalizing your relationship with food, movement, and your body. These are judgment-free, supportive spaces where we explore what it means to live well — not by chasing a number on the scale, but by learning to listen to our bodies, unlearn harmful messages, and redefine what health looks and feels like for you.

Whether you're just starting your Intuitive Eating journey or you’ve tried everything and still feel stuck, you're not alone — and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself.

More than 200 studies have shown that Intuitive Eating has helped improve health numbers such as blood lipids, glucose management, and blood pressure.

Outside of Work

When I’m not working, you can usually find me at the ice rink watching hockey, hiking Montana’s trails, managing homework chaos, and soaking up the beautiful, messy moments of motherhood. Being a mom fuels my passion to create a better world for the next generation — one where bodies are respected and food isn’t feared but enjoyed.
